Abstract

  • The Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in quarter I-2019 in Bengkulu Province was 101.33. Describing that consumer perceptions of economic conditions in quarter I-2019 were optimistic compared to the previous quarter (index 98.71).
  • Optimistic consumer perceptions of economic conditions are caused by increased volume of consumption of goods / services (index 105.17) and inflation which have less influence on total household expenditure (index 109.67). While the current income index still shows a negative direction (index 95.28).
  • The ITK of Bengkulu Province in the second quarter 2019 is estimated to be optimistic with an index value of 124.66. This indicates that consumer perceptions of economic conditions are quite good.
  • Consumer optimism in quarter II-2019 was influenced by the increase in estimates of household income (index 135.51) and plans to purchase durable goods (index 105.65).
