Abstract

  • The economy of Bengkulu Province based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the basis of prices in force in the first quarter of 2024 reached Rp 24.67 trillion and on the basis of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp 13.02 trillion.
  • The economy of Bengkulu Province in the first quarter of 2024 against the first quarter of 2023 experienced growth of 4.64 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the business field of Government Administration, Defense and Compulsory Social Security experienced the highest growth of 18.14 percent. In terms of expenditure, the Government Consumption Expenditure (PK-P) component experienced the highest growth of 18.78 percent.
  • The economy of Bengkulu Province in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the previous quarter contracted growth by minus 2.46 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the Education Services business experienced the highest growth contraction of minus 7.80 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Government Consumption Expenditure (PK-P) component experienced the highest growth contraction of minus 21.33 percent.
  • The economic structure of Bengkulu Province in the first quarter of 2024 is still dominated by agriculture, forestry and fisheries businesses by 29.07 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, it is still dominated by the Household Consumption Expenditure (PK-RT) component, which is 60.93 percent.
