Abstract
• In July 2023, year on year (yoy) inflation for Bengkulu City was 3.23 percent with a Consumer Price Index of 115.54. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Merauke at 5.21 percent with a CPI of 116.10, while the lowest occurred in Gunungsitoli at 0.50 percent with a CPI of 116.28.
• Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the price index for the expenditure group, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group, by 1.05 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 2.35 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.97 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 2.70 percent; the health group by 3.19 percent; transportation group by 11.43 percent; the information, communication and financial services group by 0.58 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 1.76 percent; the education group by 0.70 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 2.02 percent; and the personal care and other services group of 1.61 percent.
• The month to month (mtm) inflation rate for the city of Bengkulu in July 2023 was 0.49 percent and the year to date (ytd) inflation rate in July 2023 was 2.09 percent.
