Abstract

In October 2022, Bengkulu City's year on year (yoy) inflation was 6.58 percent with a consumer price index of 112.86. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Tanjung Selor at 9.11 percent with a CPI of 112.73 and the lowest occurred in Ternate at 3.32 percent with a CPI of 110.75.
Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index of the expenditure group, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 8.38 percent; clothing and footwear group by 3.09 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.97 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 6.15 percent; health group by 2.28 percent; transportation group by 15.03 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.66 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 4.45 percent; education group by 3.01 percent; group providing food and beverages/restaurants by 5.14 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 7.19 percent.
The month-to-month (mtm) inflation rate in October 2022 experienced deflation of 0.14 percent and the year-to-date (ytd) inflation rate in October 2022 of 5.62 percent
