Abstract

  • In January 2022, Bengkulu City experienced an inflation of 0.54 percent. Based on the monitoring of the BPS-Statistics of Indonesia in 90 cities in Indonesia, 85 cities experienced inflation and 5 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Sibolga at 1.53 percent and the lowest inflation in Manokwari at 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Kotamobagu at 0.66 percent and the lowest occurred in Jayapura at 0.04 percent.
  • Bengkulu City inflation in January 2022 occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by a large increase in price indexes in several expenditure groups. The expenditure group that experienced the highest inflation was the food, beverage and tobacco group at 1.24 percent.
